About the ADVANCE Charity

The ADVANCE Charity was founded in late 2018 to support the work of the ADVANCE Study. Its mission is to raise essential funds and provide guidance to the ADVANCE Study Project Board on the future direction of the research. Our Charity registration number is 1190361.

What We Do

The ADVANCE Charity’s key goals are:

  • Educating the public, patients, and healthcare specialists about the medical and psychological outcomes for British service personnel who have experienced severe trauma in combat.
  • Sharing knowledge and skills across different medical fields, to enhance research, diagnosis, and treatment of combat-related injuries and severe trauma.
  • Supporting the best care for injured servicemen and women, both now and for future generations, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and support.

Our Board of Trustees

The ADVANCE Charity is led by a dedicated team of experts who are passionate about improving outcomes for veterans and trauma survivors. The current Board of Trustees includes:
